The dates for the tremedously anticipated second edition of Wolfkop Weekender’s sister festival have finally been set, and we have a few tiny titbits of information to share with you to get the ball rolling.

Firstly, save the date. This year we are taking over the whole premises for the first weekend of June, the 2nd to the 5th to be exact. In true Wolfkop style we will once again be encouraging our guests to spend Sunday night with us, with the third night being offered at a greatly reduced price.
Secondly, ticket sales. Tickets will go on sale this coming Monday, the 3rd of April, and are expected to sell out fairly rapidly as we are extremely limited by the capacity of Matjiesfontein and all her lovely little nooks and crannies. We cannot recommend swiftly booking your place highly enough, as we have a strictly finite number of places, and when they are gone, alas, they are gone.

Thirdly, our theme. To tie in with the quirky nature of our host town we have decided to make one of our favourite film directors our muse in the shape of Mr. Wes Anderson. The Grand Matjiesfontein Hotel is where we begin, but think The Royal Tennenbaums, The Life Aquatic, Rushmore, Moonrise Kingdom and The Fantastic Mr. Fox. There shan’t be a dull moment (nor corner) throughout the entire weekend.

This is all you need to know for now, keep your eyes on the Facebook event page for more details as they emerge, and be ready to get booking at 9am on Monday morning.

“It is curious, and to me very attractive this mixture of civilization & the most wild untamed freedom; the barren mountains & wild Karoo & the railway train.”
Olive Schreiner, March 25th, 1890
